I like to meet the dogs that I am sculpting so that I can get to know their character and take lots of photographs to get all of the angles that I need to work from. Every dog is different, so I watch the interaction between the owner and the dog to get an idea of poses that would work. My aim is to create lasting memory of a beloved pet, which is why I like to meet the dog in person, as working from a photograph doesn’t allow for capturing the unique looks between a dog and his/her owner which are so special.
